Ammonia
Ammonia is a commonly found pollutant in aquatic environments. It can be found naturally, but there is also an additional contribution from sewage effluents, industrial waste, and agricultural run-off.
Ammonia has been reported toxic to fresh water organisms at high concentrations. Toxic levels are both pH and temperature dependent. Toxicity increases as pH decreases and as temperature decreases. Higher levels of ammonia in drinking water causes odour and smell issue in water making it unsuitable for drinking.
AquaPacific Ammonia kit uses Colorimetric method to estimate Ammonia and is calculated in mg/l.
